Welcome to the AKIA.co.nz website terms and conditions. Please read through them carefully before placing your order. By using this website and/or placing an order you agree to be bound by the terms and conditions set out below. Please also read our Privacy Policy Statement regarding personal information provided by you.



Currency & Price


All prices are in New Zealand Dollars (NZD) and include GST.



Pre Order


The product is currently out of stock. Once you pre-order any items with us, the product(s) will be available with our next upcoming shipment. In order for us to proceed with your pre-order as well as for you to secure your item(s), you will be required to make the payment before the close date of the next ordering. 

Due to popularity or stock supply, occasionally, your item will be out of stock. In such event, we, at our sole discretion, may opt to either refund the cost the item or place the item on backorder.



Discount Codes 


If you have a valid discount code, you MUST use it to get the discount.  Enter the discount code in the box labelled “Discount Codes” at the time of checkout.  If you do not enter a valid discount code at the time of checkout, we cannot retrospectively give you that discount or refund you the amount of the discount. Only one discount code can be used per order, and no laybys when using discount codes.


If our website is not processing your discount after the valid discount code is entered, or if the discount code entered is not accepted when you click “Apply”, then please email your order together with your discount code to





Standard delivery

You'll receive a confirmation email from us once your order is on its way, including the expected delivery date. We aim to deliver all standard orders in 2~3 working days (N.I.) / 4~6 working days (S.I.). However, sometimes during sale periods or other busy periods, deliveries may take longer. All AKIA orders are trackable so you can follow its journey to you. If you have not received your delivery within 6 working days (Saturday & Sunday is not considered as working day), you can track your order through Tracking order or please contact us

For items under 25 kgs and 0.125cbm, we freight through Courier.  For items above these dimensions, we freight through Mainfreight.

Different shipping rates will apply for your destination. Please refer to the table for your address (New Zealand / Auckland Metro) and select the right area zone in check out process. Failure to matching right zone may cause delay in process. Your order will be dispatched after full payment has been made. Please contact us for specific location pricing where zone boundaries may be unclear.


Auckland Metro delivery

We aim to deliver your order on the same day the payment gets cleared or within next working day. All customer will receive a text message about 30mins prior to delivery. All customer who give us an instruction for drop off will receive a text message after the item has been delivered. We are not liable for any loss or damage on the left goods. 

Pick up from our showroom

Same day pick up is available only if you notify us before 2pm and pay cash on pick up (not apply to Sat & Sun). Although you have already transferred the payment via bank deposit, you are unable to pick up the item until the payment gets cleared. 

Pick up from depot

Mainfreight will ring you when the item has arrived in the selected depot. They may not leave any message if no one answers. Please click here to view contact details for your nearest depot.

Other information

We are unable to specify the date and time of your delivery. Your package will be delivered during the normal business hours from Monday to Friday (expect some deliveries for Auckland Metro). If you think no one is home, please advise us an instruction for drop off.

We are unable to change your delivery address once an order has been dispatched.

Courier delivery: A signature is required on courier delivery. If you are not in when our couriers first try to deliver, they will leave a card, take your order back and then attempt to delivery one more time on the following working days. Please follow the instructions on the card left by the courier to arrange redelivery or pick up.

Mainfreight delivery: On the day of delivery or in advance, Mainfreight will ring you to advise an approximate time frame when they will be delivering your order. You may be able to arrange the time with them directly.

Delivery can be arranged by you. Select 'pick up' in check out process and advise us your carrier details. Pick up MUST be arranged via email at least 1 day before your order is collected by your carrier. We do not cover for any surcharge by your carrier due to failure to follow our process.




You can return unused item (original package should not be open) via post/freight or to a showroom within 10 days of receiving your item. Once your order has shipped, you will receive a full refund for the value of the merchandise only (including GST); shipping and handling will not be refunded. Please note, we are unable to accept back;

    * any items after 10 days of receipt
    * returned item has been damaged in transit
    * item is not re-salable from our point of view    

Some items (eg. cut fabric) and pre-ordered items are excluded from our Returns Policy. We are unable to process a refund for any item on pre-order after the item has been purchased and loaded in the container by us.

In the interests of hygiene we cannot accept returns on used bedding (linens, comforters, pillows, pillow tops), baby gears and mattresses unless they are faulty. 

We may request for you to email/send pictures of damaged or defective merchandise so, we can investigate where and when the damage occured. Once we have accepted your claim, simply return it for replacement, refund or exchange. All returns must be in their original condition (or close to) including all protective packaging and returned within 10 days of you having received the goods (Freight costs excluded). If we are not able to replace the item, we will give you a full refund for the value of the item only (including GST); Shipping and handling will not be refunded.

To process any claims we must recieve notification within 7 days.

However we don't cover any damage to or misuse, negligent installation or operation, inadequate packaging, cleaning or maintenance, unauthorized modifications or simply change your mind.





When you place an order on our website we shall email you an acknowledgement. Our acceptance of an order does not take place until dispatch of the order, at which point the purchase contract will be made and you will be charged.

Once you have checked out and your order has been confirmed you will not be able to make any changes to your order so please make sure that everything is correct before clicking the confirm button.

Any discounts triggered by the entry of a promotional code will not be applied until the order is accepted but will be detailed on the invoice.

We reserve the right to refuse an order. Non-acceptance of an order may, for example, result from one of the following:

    * The product ordered being unavailable from stock
    * Our inability to obtain authorisation of payment within 72 hours
    * The identification of an error within the product information, including price or promotion

If there are any problems with your order we shall contact you. We reserve the right to reject any offer to purchase by you at any time.

We will take all reasonable care, in so far as it is within our power to do so, to keep the details of your order and payment secure, but in the absence of negligence on our part we cannot be held liable for any loss you may suffer if a third party procures unauthorised access to any data you provide when accessing or ordering from the website.



Layby is only applicable to orders over the value of $100

    * 4 weeks run from $100 ~ $300

    * 6 weeks run over $300

A 20% of deposit is required to start the layby.



AKIA reserve the right to retain the amount of your first payment. This is to cover costs associated with cancellation, unpacking your parcel and returning the goods to stock.
